Chiropractic Services
Both chiropractors have a very similar approach to treatment and utilize a wide variety of chiropractic techniques. Diversified chiropractic adjustments, drop table technique and instrument assisted adjusting are used to improve movement, decrease pain and inflammation within the joints of the spine and extremities. Chiropractic adjustments are safe, gentle and very effective. It is always a goal of Dr. Wolfram and Dr. Barnes' to provide the best movement to the joints while using the least amount of force to be effective; this makes for the most comfortable treatment possible.
Physiotherapy techniques including low level laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, Kinesiology taping, exercise, stretching and rehabilitation are incorporated into treatment. These therapies play a very important role in the recovery process after an injury and in optimizing function.
Massage Therapy
Our licensed massage therapists offer a variety of therapeutic massage including deep tissue, Swedish, Thai massage, injury recovery, trigger point, pregnancy and relaxation. Massage Therapy can help decrease inflammation and swelling, improve soft tissue health, posture, circulation, reduce anxiety, increase and promote joint flexibility and improve sleep quality. We utilize massage therapy with chiropractic treatment regularly to aid in the effectiveness of care. After an injury, muscles can be damaged and massage is an excellent way to speed up the healing process. Each of our massage therapists specialize in different techniques and depth of treatment in order to have every patient's needs met.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the medical practice of inserting micro-fine needles into specific points on the body to promote health and combat disease. It is a safe and effective practice that has been used in Chinese Medicine for over 3000 years to treat and prevent illness. The hair-thin needles are FDA approved medical devices and are professionally sterilized. Each needle is used only once and then disposed of immediately. Acupuncture is endorsed by the World Health organization and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the treatment of a wide range of health disorders.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbs, like Acupuncture, are an essential component of traditional Chinese medicine and have been used safely and effectively for thousands of years. Chinese herbs are safe, gentle and, unlike modern pharmaceutical drugs, rarely elicit side effects. Acupuncturists are trained and licensed to diagnose and prevent disease with herbal medicine and to know when it is safe to combine herbal medicine with the pharmaceutical drugs a patient may be taking. Willamette Valley Wellness only uses the highest quality herbal and nutritional supplements that have been tested extensively for potency and are free of all contaminants.
